This Sunday I (and several colleagues of mine) will fly to Cannes, France to visit VMware’s VMworld Europe. Four days of strolling around in filled to the brim halls, attending seminars and talking about virtual machines, applications and more… Should be a lot of fun in a geek kinda way. FYI: I’ve been working with virtual machines for the past two-three years now and it just keeps getting better and better. One should wonder why you would want to deploy physical machines ever again. I hope to catch up on the concept of VDI (virtual desktops) and the new VMware solution for this. Virtualization is moving from the server side to the client side and soon virtual applications will become mainstream as well. Exciting times!
