So I made some source code available at the Google code page I’ve created. You can find the links on the NoisyCode page above. I also included the complete GUIde archive for those willing to play with that… I uploaded several small things which might be handy for people just trying to get working with Blitz. An old particle engine, realtime environment stuff and the vector object editors from Thrust Xtreme are all available. I want to repeat here that I do not provide support or updates on any of the code. I put it up so you can check out how I do things and maybe learn a couple of things. That is how I got started. Ofcourse, if you have questions I can answer them but please don’t expect code revisions or complete frameworks
I’ve been working a little bit on the particle engine this week but I’ll probably that later as there are some things not implemented right yet. Been thinking up new particle shapes for my aliens and getting those up in the editor… Fun stuff.
The particle engine will be uploaded soon as well. This will be a project in progress and if you choose to use it, expect it to be ‘feature-rich’ (read : buggy ) But, if you tell me about it it will be fixed. Sounds like a public beta test, right?
Life continues here in the Noisy headquarters! Tomorrow is my birthday but we’re celebrating (ahum) it today.
Also, last night I went to a tryout of Johan. They’re about to release their new album and if the songs played last night are an indication of things to come I say: wow. Great new songs! I also got my hands on some concert tickets for Neil Young who is playing here this summer. Whee!
We did a little World of Warcraft Naxxramas raiding this weekend. It was fun but trust me, 13 year old boys should not be in a raiding guild… sigh…
At work I am currently working on designing a fault tolerant file services system for some 30000 users. Fun stuff!
